Gozde Sivka, Graduate Research Student
Gozde Sivka received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Osmaniye Korkut Ata University (ranked 1st in my undergraduate class based on GPAtop of department), Turkey in 2017. From September 2013 to June 2017 took an active role in the projects of courses such as communication, control and electrical machines in the engineering laboratory. As part of a team in production in Fiat (2016) and Arcelik Lg (2015) factories, contributed to the factory improvement works. In her internship in the automotive sector, she has overcome these tasks by taking responsibilities in various fields such as for controlling robots of PLC software, communication, drawing of control schemes and researching the torque of electrical machines. Successfully completing this thesis which was an error finding code using C +, matlab, arduino and image processing techniques, she finished her university with the highest GPA in the department. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree at Portland State University. Her research interests are in the area of design and analysis of electric machines, magnetic modeling analysis, magnetic modeling analysis of the adjustable stiffness, and renewable energy.
